A native of coastal North Carolina, Erik Sanderson draws on several decades of experience in the marina and boatbuilding fields to serve as Technomarine’s CEO. Since joining the company in 2006, Erik Sanderson has led Technomarine to design and install complex marina systems worldwide, utilizing innovative components such as floating concrete maritime elements.

Relying on technical support from Spanish firm Aquatica Ingenieria, the company has designed and engineered a Floating Concrete Dock and Breakwater solution at its plant in Vigo, Spain. The cutting-edge system builds on the same concepts as the company’s signature aluminum products, featuring a low-maintenance design that includes flexible rubber connections, engineered polypropylene fibers, and galvanized steel rebar. The heavyweight concrete can withstand even the toughest storms, as well as loads such as 500-foot megayachts. Designed to last from 25 to 35 years, the self-compacting concrete structures can be custom-designed to suit the functional and aesthetic needs of any marina.
